Recognized for his Vouvrays but also for their sweetness, Mr. Brédif was a pioneer in the world of winemakers, creating sparkling Vouvray at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette took up the torch as a true wine lover. Passionate about quality and tradition, he gave a new impetus to this several hundred-year-old house. They contain very rare wines, the vintages of which date back to 1874. Depending on the clay-limestone, siliceous or more sandy soils, the exposure and the age of the vines, Maison Brédif vinifies three types of wine: the classic Vouvray, the Nectar Marc Brédif harvested in late harvests during certain exceptional vintages, as well as the Vigne Blanche, a wine from the vines of the same name and exclusive property of the house: this monopoly produces a great dry white wine. Maison Brédif also produces red and rosé wines in Chinon, including the prestigious cuvée, the Chinon Réserve Privée as well as the rare Chinon Blanc.
